An Award-Winning Independent Filmmaker.

Anthony Alyassi is an American writer and director. He currently resides in Los Angeles where he recently graduated from the University of Southern California in Screenwriting.

Most recently, Anthony has co-founded the company TheFilmStudent, an online social networking platform for students exclusive to USC and UCLA to connect over their shared passion of film. The company specializes in areas of production, distribution, and networking to ensure upcoming student’s voices are heard in the chaotic environment that is the film industry. His previous short film, One Last Drop, has found critical success. It premiered at the Big Bear Film Summit, where he was awarded the exclusive award of Best Student Film. It later screened at the Best Director Film Awards, where Anthony was consequently awarded Best Student Director. The film has also been given finalists awards from both the Koisce International Monthly Film Festival and the Prague International Monthly Film Festival. Furthermore, it has been selected to screen at six additional festivals and been approved to be featured on IMDB.

In 2020, Anthony co-wrote/directed the award-winning short film Back The Way We Came. Though still in its festival run, the film has managed to already accumulate six festival selections and two awards. In 2019, he co-wrote the short film The Waiting Room for the organization Film Production Coalition. The film later went on to nab three awards at The Grizzly Arts and Film Festival at UC Berkeley, therefore becoming the first film to win an award in the organization's extensive history.

Anthony is currently working on his next short film Only Kids See Ghosts, which is set to debut in 2022.
